I'm grateful to you and all those moms raising strong daughters. We need more powerful women in our world to challenge and change the patriarchy! I didn't raise any daughters (two sons), but I'm about to get a strong daughter-in-law :-)

I have two sons, no daughters, and so I'll never know how I would have navigated princess culture. I do know that the fact that you were able to retrieve the rocket when the prince failed made me ridiculously happy. Way to go! Take that, prince!

Loved this. Only my youngest really wanted all of the princess ware. My middle loved the power puff girls and would run around the house yelling, "Pow, pow, pow, pow pow!!"

What a lovely story, thanks for sharing! I’m grateful my daughter loved Spider-Man more than princesses. I had my own Barbie’s, my little ponies, and cabbage patch kids that I saved and she never paid them any mind. I hope she finds a way to stay herself and take up space in this world.
